How is unique respondent data captured in the survey sent via Contact Manager

Frank: How is unique respondent data captured in the survey? is there a unique URL they use that feeds the fields data into the survey question?

    If you are using Contact Manager as an instrument to launch the survey and pre-populate the data, on the Launch -> Email survey distribution page you can select “Email Survey to People from Contact Manager” option (in section 2). Then in section 3 you can select a group of contacts from your Contact Manager and the button from section 4 – Setup Data Flow will lead you to the autofill settings for current distribution.

    Here you will be able to set which fields from a contact manager should be populated to the specified questions in your survey. After a survey is launched the system automatically generates the number of unique links that are connected to an exact information in a Contact Manager. That information is automatically pre-populated to the survey right after a respondent opens his unique link.
