Will the delete option delete manually entered contacts while synchronization

Stacy: If you manually enter a person as a contact and then you upload a list but choose the option to delete contact if they are not found in the synchronization, will it delete the manually entered contact?

The record is identified by a unique key field. If the unique key field of a manually entered contact is the same as mentioned in a .csv file it will not delete him with this option turned on. It will only update every other information (in all other fields) if another option “Update the contacts with changes from the import file” is activated. If the update option is not active, the current manual record in the Contact Manager will remain untouched.

But if all the fields (except unique key field) in a Contact Manager and in a .csv file are same the system will not identify them as same records. That means if the “Delete contacts not found in the synchronization file” option will be activated in this case it will delete the previous record due to difference of a unique key.
